I was reading about the tragic loss of Gervontae Burgess and Joyce Allston and was struck by how often these senseless acts of violence seem to go unsolved. It makes me think about how crucial community involvement is in tackling these heartbreaking incidents. In areas like the 1400 block of Pennsylvania Avenue, where this shooting occurred, a sense of fear and frustration can really take over. It's vital that we come together to share any information, no matter how small, to support the investigations and support the families seeking justice. We can't let these cases go cold without trying every avenue to find answers and hold those responsible accountable. My thoughts are with Gervontae and Joyce’s loved ones as they continue to live with this tremendous loss. If anyone knows anything that might help the investigators, now is the time to speak up.

Has anyone else noticed how little media attention Gervontae Burgess's case seems to have gotten? I’ve been following the news in Baltimore, and it’s so upsetting to see how many cases just seem to slip through the cracks without much public attention. Gervontae was so young, and I can't imagine the pain his family must be going through knowing that his case remains unsolved. It makes me wonder if more widespread coverage and public pressure could help move things along. It’s a shame that these tragic losses don’t always receive the focus they deserve. I really wish there were more resources and attention dedicated to bringing justice to Gervontae and Joyce Allston. Anyone else feel that more awareness could make a difference here?
