I’ve been thinking a lot about the potential impact on the Sweet Auburn community after John Demonze Edwards' tragic death last December. It's scary to think such violence can happen so close to home, especially in neighborhoods many of us know and love. I can't imagine how his family is coping after losing him in such a senseless act. The holidays must have been an incredibly tough time for them. I'm curious about the safety measures at that Chevron gas station. Aren't there supposed to be cameras or more security measures in place to deter such incidents? It seems like a busy area with a lot of foot traffic and businesses around. I wonder if businesses can collaborate with the community to create a safer environment for everyone. Hoping that the surveillance footage will lead to the capture of the person responsible soon. Everyone, please stay alert and take care of each other. If anyone knows more about security in that area or has tips for staying safe, sharing those could really help someone else.
