I've been thinking a lot about how this tragedy must be affecting the children who were present during the incident. It's hard to imagine the trauma they must be experiencing, losing their mother in such a violent way and now facing life without either parent. I truly hope there are resources and support systems in place for them to help navigate this incredibly difficult time. The community can hopefully come together to support them, as they're going to need so much love and guidance. It just makes me wonder how domestic situations like this can escalate and if the system could have done more to prevent this. Sending love to Alicia's family and kids. ?
