I recently came across information about the Rosewood Massacre and what particularly stands out to me is how Sarah Carrier opened her home as a sanctuary amidst the chaos. I can’t imagine the terror and strength it must have taken to try to protect so many people, especially children, during such an unimaginable situation. It's heartbreaking to learn she lost her life while trying to keep calm among her family and others seeking refuge. The fact that the attackers were motivated by an unsubstantiated claim is an infuriating reminder of the violence inflicted on innocent communities. Sarah's bravery and sacrifice are remembered today, and it's crucial that we continue to honor the memories of those who endured this atrocity and ensure these stories are told. Has anyone else found additional information on how the Rosewood Compensation Bill has impacted the descendants of those affected? It feels like there’s so much more to learn and understand.
