Has anyone looked into Dave McArthur’s connections with old teammates or colleagues from his football days? It just crossed my mind that while McArthur was well-respected in Pass-a-Grille, he must have had numerous connections from his time playing football. It's possible that someone from those circles may have known something or had a motive. Not suggesting any of them were directly involved, but sometimes relationships sour, whether over personal grudges or money issues. It’s such a shame how this case went cold, and I can only imagine how devastating this must have been for his family. His athletic history just adds another layer of intrigue to this unsolved mystery, and I wonder if any avenues back then may have been overlooked because of the limits of the era.
Has anyone else come across the strange detail about the German pistol found at the scene of Dave McArthur's death? It's curious that such an unusual weapon was involved. I can't help but wonder how it ended up in Pass-a-Grille. Was it a direct link to the murderer, or could it have been planted to mislead investigators? Given the time period right after WWII, could there have been a military connection or black market involved? It's frustrating to think about how limited the forensic tools were back then. McArthur clearly had a lot going for him, and his family deserved answers. It's unsettling to think that someone could have done this and just vanished into thin air. Any thoughts on the possible significance of this weapon choice or information that might shed light on its origin?
I’ve been going over the details surrounding Dave McArthur’s murder, and one thing that really stands out to me is the choice of weapon—a German pistol. Given the time period, just post-World War II, it makes me wonder about its origins. Was it a war souvenir, or could it have perhaps been brought over by someone with military connections?
It’s so baffling that despite such an unusual detail, investigators couldn’t pin it down to a specific individual or set of circumstances. It feels like that pistol could have told a story of its own—about where it came from and how it ended up being used in such a senseless act.
I can't help but feel for his family and friends who’ve had to live with not only losing Dave in such a terrible way but also never getting answers. If anyone has any old info or ideas about why the pistol might be significant, it’d be interesting to hear. Peace to those who still remember and care about Dave.
