I was reading about the terrible loss of Deputy Floyd Heist, and I can't stop thinking about his family, especially his kids. It's hard to imagine the pain of losing a father in such a sudden, violent way. It's a testament to his bravery and commitment to his duty that he risked everything to protect others. I truly hope his family has found some peace over the years and that they're surrounded by support from friends and the community. What an incredible legacy and sacrifice he left; it really makes you appreciate the risks officers take every day. If anyone knows of any fundraisers or memorials in his honor, I’d love to contribute. ??️
