I’ve been thinking a lot about Daisy Ricard and Ramon Alvero after learning more about their tragic deaths. It’s so deeply disturbing to consider how they might have been targeted by someone like Manuel Pardo, who once wore a badge and was supposed to protect people. I can’t help but wonder if the system failed them in some way. How does someone go from being an officer to committing such horrific crimes? It’s chilling to think about. My thoughts are with Daisy and Ramon's families and friends, who have had to live with the loss and aftermath of such senseless violence. It’s a harsh reminder of the importance of accountability in law enforcement and the vigilance needed to prevent abuse of power. Would love to hear others' thoughts on how communities can work to prevent such tragedies. ❤️
