Hey everyone,
I’ve been thinking a lot about the role that Frank Walls' former roommate played in bringing him to justice. It must have taken incredible courage and a strong sense of moral duty to come forward with information that helped the investigation. Living in such close proximity to a person capable of these horrific crimes and realizing it after the fact must have been terrifying and surreal.
I can't imagine how difficult it would be to balance the shock of discovering someone you know is capable of such evil with the responsibility of turning over potentially life-saving information to the authorities. The roommate's actions likely spared future victims, but they must carry an emotional burden from being tied to the case. Here's hoping they've found some peace over the years.
If anyone knows more about the role friends and community members played in the investigation, I’d love to hear your thoughts. It's these unsung heroes whose stories I think deserve attention alongside those of the victims.
Stay safe, everyone. Let's keep Ann, Edward, and all the victims in our thoughts.

Hey everyone,
I've been reading through a lot of the discussions about the tragic 1987 murder of Ann Peterson and I wanted to chime in about something that’s been weighing on my mind. One aspect that always stands out to me is the sheer courage both Ann and Edward displayed during that horrific night. Despite facing an unimaginable situation, Edward bravely attempted to fight back against Frank Walls, who was clearly a ruthless individual. It’s so haunting to think about Ann being left alone, in terror, after such a brutal attack.
Their fight to survive must not be forgotten. I can’t imagine how terrifying it must have been for them, nor the agonizing sadness their families felt when they learned what had happened. This kind of bravery and resilience in such dire circumstances is heartbreaking to think about, and really brings home the reality of what we’re discussing here. These were real people with loved ones, hopes, and dreams, now reduced to a story of a crime.
Even after all these years, I hope Ann’s and Edward's families know that there are still people out here who remember them and feel for their loss. I wonder if there are any memorials or commemorations in Okaloosa County that honor them and the other victims lost to Walls’ spree. It would be nice to know their lives are being remembered in some meaningful way.
Sending thoughts to all the families affected by this tragedy.
