I’ve been following Lonnie Lee Baxter's case for a while, and I can't stop thinking about how something like this could happen in a small town like Bascom. I find it haunting how such a close-knit community, where everyone seems to know each other, had to go through the ordeal of suspects being identified and arrests being made. It just makes you wonder how well you really know the people around you. I really feel for Lonnie’s family and friends. Attending the funeral at Second Macedonia Baptist Church must have been incredibly difficult, especially with the entire town aware of the violent nature of his passing. It’s comforting to see how the community has come together to honor his memory and demand justice. It goes to show the resilience of Bascom despite the horror of the situation. My thoughts are with everyone affected by this tragedy. Stay strong. ❤️
