I’ve been following the tragic case of John Solomon’s murder for a while now, and I find myself reflecting on the bravery of Percy Derival, the survivor of that horrible night. It’s hard to imagine the trauma he has endured, not just physically but emotionally, after losing friends right beside him during such a violent home invasion. I truly hope he’s found some support and counseling to help navigate the aftermath of the attack. It’s a small relief to know that Shauntavious Ingram has been held accountable and is serving time, but I can’t help but feel for Percell and all the victims’ families who must continue to live with this nightmare. The road to healing is long, and I hope they find some peace along the way.
