I’ve been following the case of Christopher Corey, and I find it deeply unsettling how Caleb Fernandez has evaded charges despite being a person of interest. It's concerning to think about how someone could be involved in such a brutal crime and not face justice yet. The fact that Fernandez is still out there, while Christopher’s family is desperate for closure, must be incredibly painful for them. I can’t imagine the frustration they’re feeling, especially when there seems to be evidence linking Fernandez. It really makes one question the efficiency of the legal system in handling such serious situations. I hope that the investigation makes progress and that Corey’s family gets the answers and justice they deserve. Does anyone have thoughts on how the community might support this case to keep the pressure on authorities?

I knew Chris since we were kids and I think about him a lot around certain dates. Naples is a small town, particularly if you were born or grew up here. There’s the have, the have nots, those who pretend, and those with kids. Chris and Caleb are adult children if have nots, and that’s about all they have in common. Chris would be the guy who would give you a lift if your car broke down and Caleb was the guy who would rob you instead. I’m here because I want justice for my cousin. Caleb was in prison for unrelated charges in neighboring Lee Co. he appealed and recently won. My understanding is that his unrelated case starts over and his private attorney has deposed the witnesses including cops and co-defendants. Those co-defendants also having been linked to unrelated home invasions and robberies.

Sometimes the wheels of justice run so very slow. It is frustrating when this happens. It is clear they have people that will testify against him. I wonder why it is taking so long.

I’ve been following this case closely, and I can't help but feel deeply saddened for Christopher Corey’s family and their ongoing struggle for justice. What really stands out to me is Mallory McCann’s role in this tragedy. She seemed to fall under the influence of Caleb Fernandez, whom she described as manipulative. It’s haunting to think that someone can be swayed so profoundly by another person, leading to such devastating consequences. While she admitted her part and expressed remorse, I wonder how genuine her feelings were. Could her regret be sincere, or is it just an effort to lessen her sentence? McCann’s story reminds us how crucial it is to be aware of those we associate with, as their actions and intentions can have life-altering impacts. My heart goes out to the Corey family as they seek closure and justice for their loss.
