I’ve been thinking a lot about the impact this tragic event had on those who knew Taylor Caldwell. Losing someone in such a senseless manner is incredibly difficult, and my heart goes out to his family and friends. It’s so hard to wrap my mind around how someone can be taken away from their loved ones in an instant. What catches my attention most about this case is the random nature of the violence. It makes me wonder about the safety measures on public transport. Could things like better surveillance or increased security presence have deterred the attack or provided some sort of early warning? It just makes me think about what might be done to prevent future tragedies and keep everyone safe while going about their daily lives.
