I've been following Taurean Pitts' case for a while now, and it never gets any easier to think about what his family must be going through. One thing that sticks with me is how often we hear about the impact of unsolved cases on families. It's not just about losing a loved one—it's the never-ending questions and lack of closure that seem absolutely unbearable. I recently read about similar cases where communities have come together to push for justice—organizing community vigils or social media campaigns to keep the cases in the public eye. I wonder if Taurean's community might consider doing something like this to put more pressure on the authorities and remind people that this is a human life we're talking about. The mishandling of Taurean’s body only adds to the tragedy. Handling someone’s remains with dignity should be the absolute minimum. It's disheartening to hear that anyone has to face this kind of additional trauma. I just hope that by keeping his name out there and encouraging anyone with information to come forward, maybe one day his family will get the answers they deserve. If anyone in the Jacksonville area hears anything or can help, please speak up. It's never too late to do the right thing.
