Hey everyone,
I’ve been following the case of Fredi Hernandez, and my thoughts are really with his family and friends as they deal with this unimaginable loss. What truly stands out to me and is quite puzzling is the chain of decisions made after the accident. I can't stop thinking about why Lety and Luis initially chose to stage the scene and claim it was suicide. I get that they must have been terrified and in shock, but it begs the question of how they thought they could manage to cover up what happened.
It's so gut-wrenching to consider the state of mind they must have been in, but it just brings up how fear can drive people to make such drastic choices. I hope we can also consider what kind of support and counsel young people might need when such life-altering incidents occur. It's a heartbreaking situation with no winners. What are everyone’s thoughts on how police and communities can better handle these situations when young people are involved?
Stay safe,

I've been thinking a lot about the role of Xanax in Fredi Hernandez's tragic death. It's haunting to consider that what started as a disagreement over a pill ended in such a irreversible loss. Fredi was so young and had so much ahead of him, especially with a baby on the way. I wonder how much of the tension that night was influenced by stress and fear surrounding his legal troubles and impending fatherhood. This sort of situation highlights how mental health and substance use can play a critical role in crimes, sometimes leaving irreversible consequences. It's such a stark reminder to approach these issues with compassion and understanding. My heart goes out to Fredi's family and the child who will grow up never knowing their father.
