I recently came across the case of Qurell Gittings, and it has been on my mind. Thinking about the impact on the family and friends he left behind is truly difficult. The 2900 block of Brighton Street, where he was found, is the kind of place that I've seen struggle with these kinds of violent incidents far too often. It makes me wonder about the role that surveillance footage plays in these investigations. Even when cameras are present, like in this case, it seems they aren't always enough to bring about answers or justice. It’s a stark reminder of how complex and challenging urban crime can be. Has there been any discussion about improving the use of surveillance technology or perhaps ways to foster better cooperation between the community and law enforcement? It'd be great to hear from anyone familiar with similar cases or who’s been involved in community efforts. Gittings and others in his situation deserve justice, and I hope more can be done to support these endeavors.
