It's such a tragic loss for Ranisha's family and the community. I keep thinking about the proposed revitalization of the Buchanan Street Mall. It’s supposed to be a beacon of hope, a symbol that change is possible, yet it seems like the violence constantly overshadows these efforts. It’s incredibly frustrating and disheartening. This neighborhood deserves more than just promises. It's time for our leaders and community to seriously commit to making these changes happen. Transforming that area could mean giving young people a safe space where they can grow up without fear. We owe it to Ranisha and all the others who have been affected. My heart goes out to her family and friends, and I sincerely hope that the community can rally together to make the changes needed to prevent more senseless tragedies. Does anyone know if there have been any more updates or community meetings about the renovation since then?
