Hey everyone, I've been following the case of Michael Shaver, and one aspect I can't wrap my head around is the whole situation with Michael's phone after he disappeared. Can you imagine the nerve it must take to keep messaging from someone's device to create a false narrative? It's chilling to think of the extent someone would go to in order to cover their tracks. I truly feel for Michael's friends and family who were probably clinging to some hope whenever they received those messages, only to later find out the heartbreaking truth. It must have been such a surreal moment during the trial when the texts and messages were brought up and linked back to Laurie’s IP address. What does everyone else think about this?

Wow, I’ve been following Michael Shaver’s case for a while, and something that really stands out to me is how Laurie Shaver managed to keep up the façade for so long. It's astonishing how deceptive someone can be, sending messages from Michael’s phone to make it seem like he was still around. I can't even begin to imagine the emotional turmoil his friends and family must have gone through, believing he was out there somewhere alive. It really begs the question of how much more common false communications like that might be in similar cases. Has anyone else heard of cases where the perpetrator used the victim’s social media like this? My heart goes out to Michael’s loved ones for the added layer of betrayal this must have felt like.

Was anyone else struck by how calculated the whole charade was? It's chilling to think about how Laurie sent texts and Facebook messages from Michael’s phone to maintain the illusion he was still around. It seems like she went to great lengths to convince everyone he just up and left. I can't help but think about how Michael’s friends and family must have felt, receiving those messages and wondering what was really going on. It's devastating to imagine their turmoil while searching for the truth. What's even more unsettling is the time gap; Michael was last seen in November 2015, but his remains weren’t discovered until 2018. It’s horrifying to think that for all those years, he was right there on the property. It truly makes you question what other secrets might still be hidden. My heart goes out to those who loved Michael. The tenacity of his friends and family in seeking justice is admirable, and I hope they find some semblance of peace knowing Laurie was finally held accountable.
