I read about Yonel Meus and can't stop thinking about the fact that he was on the phone with 911 when it happened. It must have been terrifying for him, and my heart goes out to his family and friends who are undoubtedly struggling with this terrible loss. I can't even imagine the anguish they felt knowing he was reaching out for help in those final moments. It's so unsettling that something as simple as trying to call for assistance didn't shield him from this horrific act. I hope the legal proceedings bring some sense of justice, although nothing can truly make up for the tragedy they've endured. This case serves as a painful reminder of how critical it is for our community to work towards solutions to curb violence. My thoughts are with everyone affected by this senseless act.
