Does anyone else remember the tragic case of James Ponce Priest from 2014? It’s such a painful reminder of the violence that plagued Baltimore that year. I can’t even begin to imagine what his family has gone through, not having answers and still facing a world without him. I wasn’t aware of his story back then, but reading about it now, it strikes me how systemic issues like lack of witness cooperation and strained relations between the community and police can leave families without justice. There were 211 homicides that year, and each represented a human life and countless lives impacted. Does anyone here have any updates on more recent efforts in Baltimore aimed at community-based interventions? It's heartbreaking to see cases like these become statistics when there are always loved ones left seeking answers. Let’s keep discussing and supporting initiatives that seek to bridge these gaps.
