Does anyone else find it incredibly distressing that Dontavion Fleming Sr.'s children witnessed such a traumatic event? I can't even begin to imagine the emotional and psychological toll this must have on them. Knowing their father was taken from them in such a violent way, and right in front of their eyes, is beyond tragic. How do communities typically rally around children who've experienced such trauma? I hope they have a strong support system to help them through this. The fact that his mother, Angelita, is expressing her need for justice is entirely understandable; it's these voices that keep hope alive for change. What a stark reminder of the permanent impact gun violence can have, not just on the victims, but on their families and especially the young ones left behind.
