I’ve been following the Katie Reid case and keep thinking about what the investigation must reveal about their life behind closed doors. 23 police visits and a history of violence paints a very different picture than what you’d expect from a couple running a ministry together. It’s hard not to wonder if more could have been done to prevent this tragic outcome.
If anyone in that community suspected what was happening, it must weigh so heavily on them now. Katie deserved so much better than this, regardless of how it happened. It's unsettling to think about what she might have endured in contrast to their public persona. My heart goes out to those who loved her and are left trying to piece together the complexities of her life. Hoping this investigation finds some answers and maybe opens up a larger conversation about domestic violence and its hidden nature.
Hey everyone,
I've been following this case for a while now, and I can't get over the details about the numerous police visits to the Reid home. It makes me wonder about the nature of the calls and if there were any red flags that might have prevented this tragedy. With 23 service calls in just a few years, it seems like more could have been done. It feels so frustrating to think that there might have been opportunities to step in before events took such a devastating turn.
Was anyone aware of what was happening inside that household? It breaks my heart to think of the fear Katie might have lived with. I hope the investigation sheds some light on this aspect of the case and, maybe, help put measures in place to prevent similar situations for others in the future. What’s your take?
