I was revisiting some old cases and couldn't help but think about the state of Baltimore back in 2015 with all those homicides. James Robinson's murder on February 14 particularly stands out to me, not just because of the date, but because of how it highlights the overwhelming grief so many families experienced that year. I think about his family and just how this incident rocked their world, along with countless others. It's so disheartening to see how mistrust between the community and the police was at an all-time high back then, which must have been so incredibly frustrating for everyone wanting answers and justice for their loved ones. We often focus on statistics, but it's important to remember each number is a person, like James, with families and stories of their own. Hopefully, shining a light on cases like his can support ongoing efforts to bring about meaningful change.
