Hey everyone,
I’ve been thinking a lot about George Angelo DeCosta’s case, and something that's really stayed with me is how he was found on Droad Street with over ten gunshot wounds, yet there wasn’t much blood at the scene. It just doesn’t add up to me. Could this indicate that the crime might not have happened exactly where his body was discovered? Or maybe the shooter had particular expertise? I’ve seen cases where the crime scene doesn’t quite tell the full story, and this detail seems off to me.
I can't even begin to imagine the agony his family and friends must be enduring, especially with so few answers after all this time. It's awful to think someone out there knows what happened and is keeping it to themselves. My heart goes out to ReNee Sanders and his two sons—living in that uncertainty must be unbearable.
Has there been any discussion about whether the police are considering these kinds of possibilities, or if they’ve looked into all potential scenarios surrounding where the crime actually took place? Hoping for some breakthrough soon, I can only imagine how desperately his loved ones need answers and justice. Let’s keep this conversation going and hope anyone with info can step forward.
Stay safe, everyone.
Has anyone else been thinking about the timing of law enforcement's response to Raheem's murder on December 1, 2016? It's understandable that the police were delayed because they were handling a bank robbery and hostage situation across town, but it makes me wonder if this delay compromised crucial evidence gathering at the scene on Droad Street. Given that Jacksonville's Moncrief neighborhood already struggles with such a high crime rate, every second in response time really counts. It’s so tragic to think about the what-ifs in this situation.
What's haunting is that the crime scene, despite Raheem being shot over ten times, wasn't particularly bloody. Could this mean the shooter was experienced or perhaps there were attempts to clean up before anyone even arrived? It's a chilling thought.
I feel for ReNee and the entire DeCosta family. Not knowing must be eating them alive, and it’s been so many years without answers. If someone knows something, I truly hope they find the courage to come forward. Raheem was just trying to take care of himself and spend time with a friend that day. He deserves justice.
