Has anyone else noticed the unusual route David might have taken that day? New London is quite a detour if he was heading to Montville from Windham. I’m curious if something else was happening that we aren’t aware of. Maybe he intended to meet someone else along the way, or there was a particular reason he chose that area. The taxi driver’s account placing him near the intersection of Water and South Water Street adds another layer of mystery. New London isn't exactly on the way to Montville from Windham, so what’s the connection there? Anyone familiar with that area who can speculate why he might have ended up there? It just feels like there’s something missing in understanding his movements.
Does anyone else find it odd how David Manley's cane wasn't found at the scene where he was last spotted? If he used it regularly due to his limp, I would've thought it would be one of the first things noticed by searchers or witnesses. Maybe this points to the possibility that he didn't walk away on his own or that something happened between where the taxi dropped him and the intersection.
