I've been thinking about the role neighbors play in situations like this—it’s haunting to think that people living so close might have heard those gunshots but not known the horror unfolding just next door. The neighbors reported hearing shots that night, and I wonder if there were signs leading up to this tragic event that might have been overlooked. It makes me question how well we know what's happening in our own communities and if there’s more we can do to prevent such tragedies. It’s deeply unsettling to realize that Shanice and Karen were enduring turmoil that might have remained invisible to those around them. My heart goes out to their family, especially given that their lives were cut so tragically short. This case is a stark reminder for all of us to be more aware and supportive of those who might be in similar situations.
