Has anyone looked into possible sightings of David at campgrounds or hiking trails in the area around the time he disappeared? Given his interest in hiking and camping, it seems like he might have headed to a place he felt connected to. I know Vander Veer Botanical Park was his last phone ping, but maybe someone in the vicinity of nearby trails might have seen him. It's also curious he left with just his phone, Bible, and backpack. Makes me wonder if he was planning a spiritual retreat or personal reflection trip. Maybe someone familiar with the trails has seen or heard something unusual? If anyone has tips or ideas on how to canvass or explore these routes, it might be worth doing to find some new leads.
