Did anyone else read about the Wines family's decision to hold a memorial for Stephen despite never recovering his body? I can't even begin to imagine how difficult it must be to have no closure after such a tragedy. It seems like the family has been really proactive in keeping Stephen's memory alive and advocating for continued search efforts, but it must be incredibly tough for them every day. I really hope they get the resolution they deserve one day. Does anyone have insight on how other families cope in similar situations? It’s such a heavy burden to carry.
I’ve been following the case of Stephen Wines, and I’m curious about the area where the accident happened on the Androscoggin River. Does anyone here know if there are any unique characteristics about this section of the river near Bay Bridge Landing, like strong currents or dangerous spots? I know the search was extensive, but I'm wondering if the conditions could have impacted the recovery efforts. Even local legends or stories about the river might give some context, especially since his body was never found. Thanks!
