I came across this case and just can't comprehend the fear Victor Carter and his girlfriend must have felt during this awful event. It's so difficult to imagine the terror of waking up to an intruder in your home. It makes me wonder what kind of security measures or neighborhood watch systems were in place, if any, in that Miami neighborhood at the time. Did anyone ever mention if there were any previous break-ins or suspicious activities before this tragedy? It's tough to think about how something like this could happen in an area where people should feel safe. My thoughts are with Victor's loved ones as they navigate through this nightmare.
