I just came across Gregory Tavon Higgins' case and was struck by how unresolved it still seems. It's incredibly frustrating to see another compassionate individual become a victim of the violent surge that Baltimore was grappling with in 2015. Reading about Gregory's funeral service at Saint Joseph's Freewill Baptist Church, it's clear he touched many lives. I can't help but wonder how his loved ones are coping so many years later, and it makes me worry about community support systems for families enduring similar losses. The North Durham Street area where he was found reminds me just how much work needs to be done to ensure these neighborhoods can become safe and thriving environments. It’s disheartening that, despite efforts, so many cases from that period still need answers. I hope that with new leads or technology, his family will eventually find closure. Does anyone know if there's been any recent movement in solving cases from that wave of violence?
