I've been following the Parkland shooting case closely, and something I find particularly touching is the way Scott Beigel's colleagues and students speak about him. Even years later, their stories paint a picture of a man who genuinely cared for his students beyond just academics. It’s clear he left a lasting impact. There's this beautiful initiative, the Scott J. Beigel Memorial Fund, which ensures his compassionate spirit lives on by providing opportunities for kids to experience camp, something he valued deeply. It's a small ray of hope blossoming from such a tragic event, knowing that his passion for nurturing young minds continues to make a difference. What other educators like him do daily can sometimes go unnoticed, and it’s truly moving to see how his legacy inspires others to cherish these small yet profound acts of kindness. Sending prayers to his family and everyone affected as they carry on his mission.
