I was reading about the Parkland shooting, and Alyssa's story really stayed with me. I'm particularly moved by the way her family, especially her mom Lori, turned their grief into action. Founding "Make Our Schools Safe" is such a powerful tribute to Alyssa and speaks volumes about their determination to protect other kids. It's heartbreaking to imagine losing a child, yet Lori manages to channel that pain into advocating for change, so no other family has to endure what hers did. It must take incredible strength and courage to be that voice for change in the wake of such tragedy. My thoughts are with them, and I hope their efforts lead to meaningful improvements in school safety.
