I can't stop thinking about what kind of person Sergeant Noel Ramirez was, especially hearing how he had just been promoted less than a year before this tragic event. It sounds like he was on such a promising path in life, and he was clearly dedicated to serving his community. It's tough to wrap my head around the idea that someone with a young family and so much ahead of them was taken in such a senseless act of violence. I've been to Trenton a few times, and it's hard to imagine such a peaceful place being the scene of such a tragedy. My heart goes out to his wife and kids; the community truly lost a hero that day. It's moments like these that remind us of the real risks that law enforcement officers face every day. I hope that as a community, we can come together to support their families and ensure that the memories of Sergeant Ramirez and Deputy Lindsey are never forgotten.
