Hey everyone, I came across something interesting about the Thomas Goodell case that I hadn't seen discussed much. Has anyone else considered the significance of his text about "paid the rent" before heading to Baker Lake? It seems a bit unusual, especially given that he sold so many of his possessions. Was he planning for a long absence, or maybe settling up financially for another reason? I feel like there's a narrative here about why he was tying up loose ends so precisely. Could this point to his state of mind or plans before he vanished? I’d love to hear your thoughts on this.

I'm really curious about the timing of Thomas Goodell's disappearance, especially with him selling his belongings like his truck and boat just before he went missing. It's almost like he was preparing for something significant. Does anyone else feel like this behavior could indicate he had a planned destination or was perhaps trying to start anew? And why would he leave his work vehicle at his workplace if he was planning to disappear intentionally? Maybe he didn't intend to be gone for long. Given his love for the outdoors, could he have gone on an extended hiking trip or something similar, perhaps overestimated his capabilities, and gotten into some trouble? Just trying to make sense of this mysterious case. ?
