It's been four years, and Carlos Equan Jefferson's case still lingers in my thoughts. Although I didn’t know him personally, following this case has made it hit close to home. I can’t help but wonder about the kind of person Carlos was, his dreams, and the moments stolen from him by this senseless act. The randomness and brutality of his murder affected the entire Woodstock community in Jacksonville. It’s terrifying to think that this could happen while someone is just going about their usual drive. I really hope that anyone with any bit of information, no matter how small, will muster the courage to speak up. It won't bring Carlos back, but it might provide some sense of justice and peace to his grieving family. My heart goes out to them during this difficult time. Let’s continue to keep his memory alive and push for justice.
