Hey everyone, I've been digging into Ronnie Leon Brooks Sr.'s disappearance from Pink Hill, NC, and something that's been on my mind is the role his vehicle might play in all this. It's a white 1999 Ford F-150—a pretty common truck, right? But given that neither Ronnie nor the truck has surfaced since that day in July 2017, I'm curious about where it could have ended up.
With his history, I wonder if it's possible the truck ended up somewhere unexpected to throw folks off. Maybe it was abandoned or hidden in a location less likely to draw attention, especially if someone wanted to cover their tracks. It's not unusual for vehicles associated with missing persons to hold vital clues, so it puzzles me that there's been no trace of it. Have any locals noticed any abandoned vehicles matching the description, even if they turned out to be dead ends?
Also, I'm wondering if nearby salvage yards or locals with land for hunting or fishing (where unused vehicles might sit) have been thoroughly checked. Any ideas on places the truck could be hiding or thoughts on how to widen the search?
Has anyone else looked into the details of Ronnie Brooks Sr.'s disappearance on Grady Smith Road? I find it odd that despite his history, he didn't have any known connections outside his close circle. Usually, people with past substance issues might have broader networks. Maybe the lack of other contacts is why authorities are having such a tough time finding leads? It's concerning that nothing has turned up about the white 1999 Ford F-150 either. Could something have happened along his usual routes, or is it possible he was headed somewhere new that no one knew about? Would love to hear thoughts from locals who might know more about the area and whether there are places where someone might go unnoticed for this long.
