I wanted to take a moment to reflect on the strength of Damon Rothermel's family throughout this unimaginable ordeal. It must be incredibly difficult to lose someone you love in such a sudden and senseless way. Helen Ayers, his half-sister, has shown such resilience and determination in seeking justice for Damon. Her voice in the community advocating for an end to violence is truly inspiring. I can only imagine how challenging it is for families like theirs, who are thrust into the public eye under such tragic circumstances. The arrests in this case surely provided a glimmer of hope, but the road to full justice and healing is no doubt a long one. My heart goes out to them as they navigate the legal proceedings and cope with their loss. The community being actively engaged in supporting such families gives me faith that positive change is possible. Let's continue to lift them up during this time.
