I’ve been following the Joel Tatro case and it’s so tragic to think about how an uninvited guest at a children’s party spiraled into such a devastating outcome. I can't stop thinking about how this impacts his children. They not only lost their father but had to process everything in the shadow of such a violent event at what should have been a joyful occasion. It’s hard to imagine the lasting impact this could have on them emotionally. My heart goes out to them, and I hope they have a strong support system around them. While the court delivered its verdict, the real question is, how do we as a society make sense of this and prevent it from happening again?
