I can hardly imagine the pain Sydney's family and friends are going through right now. Having survived such a horrific event only to be overwhelmed by the subsequent struggles is truly overwhelming. Her desire to work in the medical field is a testament to her caring nature, and it's such a tragedy that this world lost someone who wanted to help others in need. I think it's crucial for us to discuss the challenges of survivor's guilt and PTSD more openly. It's often an invisible battle for many, and unfortunately, the signs can be easy to miss until it's too late. Sydney's story is a call to action for all of us to advocate for more accessible mental health resources, especially for those who have endured unimaginable trauma. We need to create spaces where people can seek help without stigma or barriers. My heart goes out to everyone who is grieving Sydney's loss and to all those who continue to fight their own quiet battles.
