It's incredibly frustrating and deeply saddening to hear about unsolved cases like Eugene Nesbitt's. Each one of these cases represents not just a statistic, but a person who had a family, friends, and a future taken away. I've been reading about the broader context of crime in Baltimore during 2015, and it's alarming to see how much strain such a high number of homicides put on the police and community resources. It seems like the systemic issues in the city, like lack of funding and community distrust, really hinder these investigations. I often wonder how we, as a society, can do better to tackle these root problems and help provide justice for victims like Eugene. My thoughts are with his loved ones, who must still be yearning for answers and closure all these years later.
