I've been following the case of Michelle Ennis and the more I read, the more my heart goes out to her family and friends. One detail that really sticks with me is how Jack Mathis reacted immediately after the shooting. His mother, Deborah, arrived to find him drinking liquor. It just makes me wonder about his state of mind and how that could have played into everything. Was the drinking an attempt to cope with what he had done? It’s such a tragic situation, and it's hard to understand how emotions can spiral out of control so tragically. I hope that the investigation brings some semblance of closure to Michelle's loved ones. This is such a sad and unsettling case, and my thoughts are with everyone affected by this senseless act.
