I've been thinking a lot about Damien Jamal Best's case lately. It's so tough to wrap my head around how this young man's life was cut short in such a senseless way. When you look at the circumstances surrounding his murder, you can see how complex the situation is. Damien was just doing his job, working hard like anyone else, yet he somehow became a target. It’s terrifying to think that even those in stable jobs aren’t safe from violence. This speaks volumes about the level of desperation some people might feel in the face of economic instability. But it shouldn't have to cost someone their life. My heart goes out to Damien's family—no one should have to endure the loss of a loved one under such circumstances. Does anyone have updates on whether there's been progress in the investigation? I know so many cases from that time period are still unsolved, but perhaps by keeping discussions alive, we can keep the pressure on for justice.
