I've been thinking a lot about the proximity of all these shootings and can't shake the feeling there might be a pattern. Donna Edwards was well-liked in her community, and for something like this to happen in broad daylight is just awful. It's terrifying that this occurred so publicly, and it raises questions about safety not just for those experiencing homelessness but for the entire community.
What troubles me is how these incidents happened so close to local businesses, yet there seems to be little to no concrete information about potential suspects. Were there any surveillance cameras nearby that may have caught something? The fact that it happened so openly almost suggests a level of boldness that’s chilling.
I truly hope the community continues to keep their eyes and ears open and that someone steps forward with useful information. Donna's story deserves resolution, and her friends and the larger community deserve to feel safe again. Thoughts and prayers to her loved ones during this incredibly difficult time.
