I'm really struck by the fact that Jay Wooten, or "Jay" as his friends called him, was known to be such a beloved figure in his community. His love of fishing and playing the piano speaks volumes about his personality—being someone who found joy in simple pleasures and shared that joy with others. The more I learn about him, the more it's devastating to think about the abrupt and violent end to such a vibrant life. I can't imagine what his family and especially Shayne, who survived the attack, are going through. Losing someone who brings so much light into the world is particularly tough. It's encouraging to know that the suspects were apprehended quickly, but it doesn't take away the pain for those grieving. My thoughts are with his loved ones. Does anyone have more info on how the community is supporting each other through this? It's in times like these that we need to lean on each other.
