I’ve been following the case of sweet Kearria Reginae Addison, and I just keep coming back to the senselessness of it all. One thing that struck me during the trial was the role of surveillance footage from the convenience store. It's amazing yet deeply unsettling how these cameras have become silent witnesses to such tragedies. In this case, though, it brought some crucial clarity and led to the arrests of those responsible. It must have been excruciating for Kearria's family to go through the court proceedings and see this footage, reliving that horrific day. But I do hope it also gave them some comfort knowing that it helped bring justice for Kearria. I can’t imagine the strength it takes to face such a moment over and over. My heart genuinely goes out to them in this devastating time. The community support they received seems so vital; it just shows how deeply and widely Kearria’s story has touched people. The way everyone came together to demand justice speaks volumes about how loved she was, even by those who never met her.
