I’ve been following the Perez case closely and wanted to share some thoughts regarding Joaquin's dedication to children and how deeply he seemed to care for others. It’s so poignant to learn that he was so involved in helping kids, especially those with special needs. Joaquin had retired, yet he still found time to give back to the community, which really speaks to the type of person he was.
It’s always so tragic when someone who has spent their life helping others has their life cut short, and in such a senseless manner. I can’t imagine the immense pain his family, and particularly his daughter Christina, must be feeling. Whether it's through sharing stories or contributing to the memorial fund, I hope the community continues to support them in any way they can. Let’s keep them in our thoughts—Joaquin will surely be missed by everyone who knew him.
