I came across this case while browsing and couldn’t stop thinking about the sheer volume of gunfire that Khadijah's aunt reported hearing. Fifty shots? It’s terrifying to imagine what Khadijah and those others in the car went through in those moments. It’s like something out of a nightmare, and my heart goes out to all who loved her. I feel especially for her 5-year-old son, who now has to grow up without his mom. It’s just devastating. I also can't help but think about the neighborhood. This kind of violence impacts everyone. Do we know if crime has been an ongoing issue around 61st and 14th area? It seems like a close-knit community from what little I've read. I hope they rally together for the sake of Khadijah’s family and for their safety. Anyone in that area notice anything unusual around the time this happened that might help out the investigation?
