I've been following the case of TaZion Bibby Levison, and the more I learn, the more my heart aches for his family, who have been left without answers or justice. It’s distressing how critical witness testimony in such cases can make or break the process of getting justice. The refusal of those two witnesses to testify is understandable given the fear that likely exists in situations like this, but it’s also disheartening. How do we as a community build trust so that witnesses feel safe enough to come forward? It's a bitter pill to swallow knowing that justice for TaZion might never be achieved in the courtroom. The system feels flawed, and it’s hard not to feel frustrated on behalf of his loved ones. I pray for some form of peace for his family and that, one day, the truth can fully come to light.
