I came across Marlin Fryer's story and felt compelled to talk about the strength his family has shown throughout this ordeal. Their ability to face the man responsible for Marlin's death must have taken tremendous strength. Community gatherings in Holden Heights have shown an outpouring of support for Marlin's loved ones, which is a testament to the impact he had on those around him. It's amazing seeing a community come together to grieve, support each other, and raise awareness about the need for peaceful conflict resolution. Gun violence takes away so much more than we can ever see, and Marlin's story is a powerful reminder of why we must do better. Keeping his memory alive is not just about remembering him, but also about making sure his story leaves a lasting impact.
