I'm still trying to wrap my mind around the tragedy involving Robert Fenstersheib and his son, Michael. I can't even begin to imagine the pain Robert's girlfriend, Pan Hong, must be feeling after surviving such a horrific event. Surviving a shooting and losing someone you love in such a way is beyond comprehension. Pan's courage in the face of this nightmare is truly remarkable, and it makes me think about how the ripple effects of mental health struggles and substance abuse can devastate entire families. This tragedy has highlighted just how desperately we need to get better at supporting those dealing with these issues. If anything positive can come from such a senseless act, it's the hope that more people feel empowered to reach out for help or offer support to those in crisis. My heart goes out to all of Robert’s family, friends, and colleagues. The loss they've suffered is immense, but maybe Pan's survival can offer a glimmer of hope and a reminder of the resilience of the human spirit.
