I've been thinking about the Woolworth's sighting of Julia Shimkus in 1974 and its implications. Assuming the witness really did see her, it opens up so many questions. Why would Julia be in Pittsburgh with an unknown man? Could she have started a new life willingly, or was she in some kind of distress or trouble that we don't know about? It's so puzzling how this lead seemed so promising but then just hit a wall. It's also interesting that Julia was seen at such a public place if she was trying to disappear. If it was really her, could this sighting hint at some unknown connection or perhaps involvement from someone in Pittsburgh? Would love to know if anyone thinks this sighting might have been staged or misinterpreted. Such a complex case makes you wonder what was happening behind the scenes in Julia's life.
